Be Engaged Be Aware Be Open To Learning Featuring Digvijay Singta

Be Engaged. Be Aware. Be Open to Learning.

The ISBR Alumni community is a pillar of strength and support for us. They carry the wisdom of the campus and the intelligence of academia. What did they learn? How did their life at ISBR prepare them for the world outside? And what do they have to tell you that will help you not just in your life on campus but beyond it as well? The series ‘Campus to Corporate’ will bring you insight from our alumni on the less-noticed aspects of campus life.

A charismatic executive in Talent Acquisition at Epsilon, Digvijay Singta is living his dream, and what he was trained to do. A young man who had a clear career plan in his mind from the beginning, Digvijay is very happy with what he has achieved. As Talent Programs Specialist with Epsilon, he ideates and executes a plethora of initiatives meant to attract both internal company associates as well as potential external candidates.

“I engage with graduates and external vendors,” says Digvijay. “Using multiple analytical techniques to derive insights and forecast the best arrays of work is something that my role frequently asks for.”

The path that led to this position started early during his time at ISBR. While pursuing his MBA (batch 2015-17), Digvijay was a popular figure in the campus. You could spot him in any event – seminars, club activities, cultural events, CSR activities and everything in between. “While participating in any event at ISBR,” says Digvijay, “I made sure that it was executed perfectly and that I contributed everything I could to it. I was determined to make it a success.”

So naturally, Digvijay’s advice to those on campus is to be involved. “I can actually give a list of my takeaways from my campus experience,” he says. “You pick up a ton of values – confidence, networking skills, and friendships.”

“Every single person you meet in these activities contributes to your growth in some way, professionally and personally,” Digvijay continues. “My friends and partners in these events and activities molded me into the person I am today. My interactions with my batch mates and friends showed me the different kinds of approach you need to take with people.”

Digvijay was a member of a CSR documentary titled ‘Flesh Trade’ and also actively participated in the corporate fair held on campus. “My confidence would skyrocket every time I participate in one of these events,” he says. “My experience here gave me the skills and tools to successfully initiate and brand a diversity-focused program called ‘She Rises’. It is for women who have taken a break from their career and face challenges in getting back into the game. I am also an active member of a special 5-member task force that is dedicated to promoting an open and transparent culture at Epsilon.”

Digvijay’s experience serves as the perfect example of combining fun with knowledge. Applying every tiny bit of knowledge he gained from these activities in his professional life, he lives the line, “Every day, you learn something new.”
