A guest lecture was organized by Department of Marketing and IB in association with the Department of Finance on 7/7/20. The lecture was for the students of PGDM batch of 19-21 and the topic was “Boycott Chinese goods – its impact on global business, India and in turn China”. The resource person for the lecture was Mr. Dhanushkodi, finance professional and consultant. Around 60 students attended the lecture. The speaker started with the timelines of the major events of India and China, the events that took place in the independent India, the mode of operations of businesses in India and China. He also elaborated on China’s importance in India’s foreign trade, the competitive sectors where India can compete with China on the global front. He elaborated on the measures to be taken by India if it was to be an alternative source of products for the world to China. This was followed by the students questioning for which speaker lucidly put forth the answers. The session was insightful and comprehensive understanding for the students.
