Special Note from The Managing Director( Dr. Manish Kothari)

Dear Readers,

Another issue of Voice and another year that was full of fun, learning, and new ventures. Looking back, it feels like we have achieved so much.

In July 2018, we launched an innovative program — PGDM in Sports Management. Although sports remain a celebrity career in India, there is a tremendous potential for it. Building on this idea, we designed a new program, PGDM in Sports Management, which offers aspirant students the opportunity to make acareer in sports. Former International Tennis Player, Padma Shri Somdev Devvarman inaugurated this program.

A flurry of awards added to our achievements this year. To highlight just a couple, for the second consecutive year in 2017, ISBR was ranked Platinum Institute under AICTE-CII Survey. We were also awarded the Most Upcoming Business School of the Year for Higher Education at the ASSOCHAM Higher Education Summit 2018 held in New Delhi.

Diversifying and making education accessible to every aspirant, we expanded our horizons by starting ISBR Law College, an integrated as well as independent Law Program supplemented by certification courses in Constitutional Law, Cyber Law, and Intellectual Property. We also added new-age specialized courses such as BBA in Aviation Management affiliated to Bangalore University.

Developing industry-specific skill sets are a pre- requisite in today’s world and two of our programs require special mention in this effort. The one-day workshop on Turnaround Management conducted by the Center of Executive Education at ISBR Business School in 2017 covered the skills required by every manager to keep his ship afloat.

Skill Capital, a two-day internship fair organized in May 2018, added to Talent Connect, our placement drive, and focused on mapping students to the industry requirements. With 60 companies and 200 students present, the fair was a sparkling success.

These are just the highlights of a very fruitful year, and Congratulations and a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of our ISBRians who was with us along the way.
