International School of Business and Research, Bangalore organized a one-day blood donation camp on 10th March 2018 in collaboration with BMST (Bangalore Medical Services Trust) from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, motivating the students to come in flocks and donate to save precious lives of the needy. The camp started at 11.00 am with a short inaugural function where Dr. Keshav with his 5 member team were given a warm welcome. Dr. Keshav expressed his gratitude to ISBR for its continuous endeavor in this regard. He also emphasized the growing need for blood in the state and commended the young volunteers for this noble act. In this camp, a remarkable number of volunteers from different department of college had participated with vivacity including teaching and non-teaching staff and students. The camp was organized in a very disciplined manner, keeping in mind all the aspects of the health of the donors, starting from providing details about any prevailing health issues of the donor, checking the hemoglobin, weight etc. and then deciding whether to allow th
candidate to donate or not. The blood donors were provided with refreshments and a blood donation certificate by BMST. After the camp, Academic Director Dr. Karpagam appreciated the donors for donating blood & congratulated the organizers for successfully organizing the camp.
As part of corporate social responsibility drive, the CSR club @ ISBR organized a blood donation camp with assistance from Lions Club, Electronic City, Bengaluru. Doctor Raghavendra and his dedicated medical team from the blood transfusion and immunohematology unit of Kidwai Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru conducted the voluntary blood donation drive held at the ISBR auditorium on November 19, 2011 (Saturday) from 2:00 PM to 05:00 PM .It was a hugely successful event with a large number of MBA students and staff contributing their blood towards this noble cause. At the end of the camp, ISBR donated 60 units of blood which will be used for cancer patients.
