IIC INNOVENTURE Club: Session on problem-solving and ideation workshop

Objectives –

  1. To look into the problems in the market of the companies and provide necessary solutions to it
  2. To encourage the students to brainstorm and ideate their own new ideas for building a new company.
    Introduction
    The topic of the day’s event was “Problem-solving and ideation.” The students of ISBR were introduced to Mr. Pavan Majumdar. Mr. Pavan Majumdar introduced himself and started with today’s ideation workshop.
    About the Event –
    Mr. Majumdar made us understand what are the problems that the companies are facing in this dynamic changing world and how can these problems be resolved so as to create a win-win situation for the companies. He made
    students are aware of the importance of brainstorming, and also encouraged students to brainstorm and ideate for building a new company. He also said to realize your value and remember the following –

  4. Apply funnel concept
    The students also understood the steps for choosing their career/job. He guided the students with the following steps –
  5. The main thing is to understand yourself. Then, search matching jobs/career
  6. Understand the job and its requirements
  7. Research the companies, and
  8. Develop the skills.
    Following these steps will determine the right choice of career. He said that we also need to determine, why we want to work. The following may be the reasons

  13. Respect

He also said that the core of each function lies in sales & marketing, understanding and observing the people. He also said that awareness leads to interest and interest leads to desire and desire leads to action. He stated the important components which are required for the organization to survive. The main components are – Finance and investment, operations, and human resources. He also said that the core essence is to get empathy and never get disappointed. The students formed groups in a team of 4 and they presented their ideas in the session.
Conclusion:
The students understood how to define customers and create value for our products. The customer introduced customer gains and pains, also how to determine pain relievers and gain creators which are relevant and essential to the product. This session was an overall success, where the students learnt a lot about problem-solving and ideation in a practical way.
