ISBR Business School, Electronic City, Bangalore, celebrated their Annual Convocation on 12th July 2014, at their Electronic City Campus.
Dr. M. K. Panduranga Setty, Chairman, RV Group of Institutions delivered the Convocation Address. Shri. S. Sampathraman, President, Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry delivered the Inaugural Address. Shri. Joern Rohde Consul General of Germany released “GEMS of ISBR”.
Dr. K S Anandaram, Director of ISBR Business School welcomed the gathering. Dean Dr. C Manohar shared the genesis of the Awards presented to the Awardees.
Delivering the Convocation address, Dr. M. K. Panduranga Setty, spoke over “INVENT / INNOVATION – the way forward for the future of India. Students & Business School must strive to become Job providers rather than job seekers”.
Shri. S. Sampathraman delivering his Inaugural Address mentioned “Greed & total disregard to values have brought down great economies. Management students not only have a responsibility to themselves but also to the organization they serve & the society at large. If they think they misfit for the role assigned to them they can seek a change inside (first). But if the value system is not of a high order, they should look out for a change immediately. He said, employers believe that managers understand their roles and are self motivated, hence they should contribute to the success & growth of the organization as a team player”.
175 students were given their graduation certificates and 28 students were awarded gold medals for meritorious performance in various aspects of Academics, International Relations, Best Transformation, Best Team Player, Leadership and Creativity, Outstanding service, Discipline and Special Recognition.
Another highlight of this program was that the Institute conferred

Dr. Tejaswini Ananth Kumar, Chairperson, ADAMYA CHETANA & Managing Trustee, AIeMS Institutions was conferred “SPOORTI CHETANA AWARD” for her outstanding work in the field of Community Service & Leadership in Education.
Dr. Tejaswini Ananth Kumar, mentioned “Leadership emanated from strong value sustains and creates the foundation for a strong nation. Education is the means to achieve welfare of the society”. She derived Spoorti for Adamya Chetana, through services to society.
Shri Ananth Kumar, Union Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers also graced the occasion along with his beloved wife Dr. Tejaswini Ananth Kumar and said “Youth needs to decide whether they want to become the consumers or contributors”. [Consumers, according to him are more prone to problems oriented approach, whereas contributors are the positive individuals who contribute to their profession, society and the country. Thus a student can also be good managers & contribute to the Good Governance]. Shri Ananth Kumar emphasized on innovation and growth as the watchword for the country’s development. In conclusion, on the eve of Gurupurnima, He quoted Swami Vivekananda’s words – A Bad Teacher – Complains, A Good Teacher – Teaches, But a Great Teacher – Inspires.
D. A. Thejaswari, Director Adhikeshavau Group of Companies was conferred “DAKSHA MAHILA UDYAMI AWARD” for her outstanding work in the field of Entrepreneurship & Service to Society.
Smt. D. A. Thejaswari in her acceptance speech said “Entrepreneurship doesn’t come with will to earn money alone, it redeems with their rugged and robust zeal to occupy every opportunity that benefit mankind. After you turn entrepreneur you have to address and that is “Social Entrepreneurship”.
A coffee table book “GEMS OF ISBR” was released on the occasion, by Shri. Joern Rohde, Consul General of Germany
Shri. Joern Rohde said “to value education is the most important resources that every society needs to cherish. I’m also convinced that graduates with the strong sense of values will contribute to the further development of INDIA”.
Shri. Manish Kothari, Managing Director of ISBR group of Institutions, congratulated the graduating students and announced the new research centre of the institution. He inspired the students to be the writer of their own destiny. His words were “if you want to be happy, learn to keep your neighbors happy” made the crowd cheer. He finally said “work as a team to achieve greater success”.
Shri Prakash Kothari, Chairman, ISBR Group of Institution, Prof. Kiran Bindu, Director International, Shri Mayur Jain, CTO & Trustee graced the occasion. Dr. Prince Martin, Principal ISBR delivered the vote of thanks.
