We believe that only course learning is not enough to imbibe a better atmosphere in ISBR and so, we always come up with new events that can help our students to think, experiment, and develop. We had an Orientation Program on “Art of Conducting and Writing Literature Review”
Brief Profile of Speaker:
Resource Person – Dr. Navodita Mishra is presently working as an assistant professional at Jagadish Seth School of Management (JagSom), Bangalore. Prof. Navodita’s doctoral thesis examined the role of behavioral and social indicators of individual commitment in team sports. She is also a qualified organizational psychologist, psychometrician, and counselor. During her Ph.D. she conducted Mental Toughness Training for U.P. and Karnataka Ranji Cricket Team. Widely consulted by the corporates, she has conducted several behavioral training programs for companies like Tavant Technology, Cadbury, HCL, Infosys, and Pizza Hut. She has presented papers in reputed national and international conferences and seminars like Corporate Communication International, New York, USA, and contributed research papers in international (ABDC Ranked) journals in the area of OB and Sports Management. She has also been the nominee for the ‘Best Dissertation Award’ during the National Convention of Psychology in 2016. Dr. Navodita’s research interests include appreciated inquiry in teams, sports psychology, diversity, and inclusion. FPM module III was commenced on 11th September introducing planner and manual enclosing the instructions. Consequent to the session orientation program on “The Art of Conducting and Writing Literature Review” is organized on 25th September 2021 and the session was dealt with by Dr. Navodita.
Learnings from the event:
• The session was held on “how to conduct and write literature review” Dr Navodita, Ph.D. from IIT delivered an extraordinary session in articulating the quality aspects related to the literature survey. Having experienced in top-notch education institutions, she ran the entire session discussing how to conduct and write a literature survey based on both prior literature and primary survey.
• Dr. Navodita brough certain unique discussions out of her own research experience on conducting and writing literature survey. That was indeed made the scholars to delve into her discussion and to learn certain practical challenges and overcoming strategies in connection to the literature survey.
Feedback from scholars: Scholars were pretty happy to have Dr. Navodita on their Module III orientation and
few requested to have repetitive sessions by the same resource person.
