Globalization , a move that lead Multinational companies to go abroad to find new markets can be traced as far back to the British East India Company and more recently to Toyota Motor Corp of Japan that went to the US in search of customers. Starbucks is in India today to find customers , so is Harley Davidson.
In today’s highly interconnected world where global value chains of companies spread across boarders organisations have become global in nature. Every single of India’s top 500 companies has its presence in more than one geography and often more . In such a situation working and managing global business problems and challenges requires the managers of tomorrow to have a truly global mindset . Our management education at ISBR is designed to develop such a mindset . We at ISBR believe that the first wave of Globalisation has come to an end . With rising geo political tensions and trade wars between US and China and a Global Pandemic which threatens large parts of the world economy global trade will be an enormous casualty. As we see the situation in July 2020 any optimism at the end of the tunnel is hardly visible . Countries are raising barriers to mobility of labour while some others are weaponizing global mobility of capital to prevent countries from investing in them . This new world of ultra-nationalism will slow down investments and cause friction .
Even in the midst of all of this news flow we expect Globalism to survive and thrive . We are preparing our future managers for such a world . A world where global teams work seamlessly across borders enabled by technology.
ISBR student profile is overwhelmingly Indian. Most of the students have the same value system and a homogenous was of thinking . We wanted to expose the students to a multi-ethnic diverse cultural experience. We wanted this to be immersive and of adequate length of time to alter their thinking. We wanted transformative experience . This is why we signed MOU’s with over 7 colleges in 2 Non English speaking countries

How do ISBR Students benefit from our international Partnerships?
One Semester exchange or a year abroad gives a deep insight into the academic and corporate world at the foreign country.
Many of the Professors at our partner universities are drawn from the global talent pool of professors who offer cutting edge management. Five of our students go and five of their students come each year from each university and we keep adding more and more choices of universities every two years once. We are very selective about whom we partner with and choose our destinations very carefully. Students are nominated by the home institution partner university send application link which students are expected to fill up following which they get an invitation letter for their visa. Students make their travel plans and spend 1 semester there.
