Highlights of ISBR Recruitment Program

The crowning factor of any business program is placements. It provides insights into the real world of management, a chance to use the skills you have and to develop them further. The robust placement cell at ISBR has been functioning effectively to ensure that the student’s are placed across industries, verticals and roles. From just placing students to actively playing a role in grooming and molding a student to be corporate ready, the activities have grown over the years.

Here are some of the measures taken by the placement department to sharpen basic business acumen and polish student’s skill set further.

Organizational Study (OS)

In the 1st semester, many student’s face a dilemma when it comes to choosing specializations, to which we give them a hands on opportunity to explore their career interest while working with different department of the organization. The major objective of the Organization Study is for the better understanding of the industry, processes and functions. Some of the senior student’s who are placed with top MNC’s such as Volvo, ITC Hotels, Zovi, Wipro, Gift XOXO, Healthy Billions etc guide student’s with the basic level of mapping and grooming. Currently, ITC Hotel, IIM B, GE-Healthcare, HyperCity, Accel Knowledge, Denture Capital, Wipro and many more conduct OS for students.

Internship

ISBR presents opportunities for all students to experience industry and connect with the professional work arena which helps in enhancing their employability prospects. We offer Pre-Placement Opportunities & Paid Internship opportunities through esteemed brands such as iStar, Ninja Cart, Zelo, Biocon, MetLife (Dubai), Morgan Stanley, GE Healthcare where students can take it up alongside their course.

Pre-Placement Orientation Program

The pre-placement orientation program is generally carried out in the 3rd semester where HR managers and potential recruiters come together and interact with students. They give detailed insights about their company, talk about career growth opportunities across various domains & industries, mission and vision of their company which gives clarity to a student’s concerns. Companies on the likes of Future Group, IT-Wipro, Volvo, Flipkart, and IDBI conduct seminars to help student’s fine tune their profiles, personality enhancement, resume building and give tips on the application process. This process makes it easier for student’s to zero down on their ideal company.

Mentorship Program

The ISBR Mentorship Program offers wholesome career guidance to students by our well-rounded faculty members and industry experts. They equip students by providing practical application of networking skills, personal and professional growth which is needed to thrive in a professional world. Under this program, we channel out Campus to Corporate Gap analysis Program which is undertaken by student’s in their 3rd semester to build a pathway from campus to corporate. This program aims to make the transition easy and boost student’s personal contribution and performance levels in the organization. It’s a unique initiative for student’s to connect the dots from self-analysis to corporate analysis.

Start up events & meets

NSRCEL (N S Raghvan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning), the startup hub at IIM Bangalore is one of the startup body and juries of Startup Spirits at ISBR along with GLC (Global Luxury Culture) to foster entrepreneur culture among the student’s. Some of the startup ideas of our students who have been backed by the jury are Genie Wallet, Bake My Wish and more.

Live Industry Projects

This nurtures Industry Institute interaction, by organizing and coordinating frequent industrial visits, implant training and projects of industrial relevance for the student’s, with the sole aim of zeroing down the hiatus between the industry and the academia.

Paper Presentation & Business Plan Competition

Paper Presentation and Business Plan Competition at ISBR encourage students to showcase their ideas on a unique and massive platform in the form of well integrated and intriguing presentation. It strives to explore the inquisitiveness of young minds by giving their incredulous ideas a definitive direction.

Cells and Clubs by students

The academic intensity at ISBR is sprinkled with extra-curricular and co-curricular activities to complete the learning curve. These activities are an integral part of campus life, and we lay special emphasis on it by introducing Entrepreneurship Cell, Corporate Network Cell, Corporate Social Responsibility Cell, Marketing / HR / Finance Cell, Writers Club, Cultural Cell and Sports Cell for holistic development of the student’s.

 Student Placement Committee

ISBR has a team of highly motivated student’s, mentored by the experts, who render student’s with real-time hiring process which encourages recruiters to recruit fresh graduates. In addition, the placement committee plays an instrumental role in developing and sustaining a mutually beneficial long term relationship with the industry. ISBR’s Talent Connect is an initiative which is intended to connect talent and Industry on a universal platform.

ISBR has consistently demonstrated a track record of notable placements in top notch companies in various sectors and functions.

–       Industry Mentorship program

The Mentorship Program links students with leading executives and career professionals – offering an innovative approach by providing student’s practical application of networking skills, personal and professional growth over an extended period of time. Corporate head honchos from companies such as Volvo, Planet Ganges (GE), IIM B etc visit ISBR regularly to mentor student’s and closely work with them to make them better professionals.

–       Star Invitee

STAR Invitee is a platform for the industry to showcase their success stories and challenges to the student’s. This brings student’s one step closer to understanding the industry from within through Industrial visits and also by augmenting Internship and placement opportunities.

–       Participation in Networking & Industry events

At ISBR, we strive to ensure that our student’s get the best International quality experience by keeping a close-knit relation with several and leading institutions and professional bodies around the world such as National HRD, HR Showcase and CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) etc.

–       Sector-wise panel discussions

Sector-wise Panel discussions are regularly organized to bring out different outlooks of diverse industries to help a student to opt for the right sector in which they have the zeal to work. Discussions attended by HR managers of conglomerates give student’s clarity about their career prospects in various fields and domains.

–       Guest Lectures series

Students are exposed to corporate guests from varied industries who give an insight into their industry practices through webinars and workshops to facilitate better perspective to learning.

–       Cross-Culture Workshops

ISBR’s learning exchange program with International universities such as University of Dubai, Kent University, Australia, France Business School and Hochschule University of Applied Sciences, Germany lends a cross-cultural exposure and a global perspective to the student’s. Recently students under the student exchange program represented India on ‘International Day’ at our international partner B School GROUPE ESC TROYES, France. There were students from 23 countries who represented their country’s culture, food and traditional dresses.

–      Participation in HR events and Forums

Through this, students are exposed to Industry forums and are connected to Hindustan Times- HT Conclave, CII-HR Conference and NHRD-HR Showcase, where some of the student’s get exclusively selected for NHRD membership.

–       Alumni Mentoring

ISBR has a strong Alumni network through which student’s are mentored and exposed towards real world experiences. Some of our alumni, who have been placed with esteem organizations such as Morgan Stanley, Time INC, Niyo and much more, visit the campus to give a better insight on their organization’s recruitment processes, peer driven career advice and job leads.

Student’s are exposed to diverse industry visits, while the recent visits conducted at Software Technology Parks of India, Coca Cola, Volvo and Karnataka Hybrid Micro Devices Ltd, assisted by a dedicated team of faculty who make sure that these visits turn out to be a highly interactive knowledge assimilation ventures.
