Report on International Internship of 3 students
The three PGDM with Global Immersion students were given the chance to complete an international internship with businesses in Vietnam through FPT University, Vietnam, which is a partner institution of ISBR Business School, with the initiative of ISBR’s international office. The internship lasted for two months, starting on June 1 and ending on July 31, 2023.
- Ms. Arpita Dhir Samanta got the opportunity to do her internship with Do Agency, Vietnam, through FPT University, with the profile of Facebook Fanpage creation and promotion, client meeting, canva design and learnings, content writing for Facebook posts, Tvc shooting, and research about the competitors, Photoshop in designing engaging posts, effective content planning for target audience, strategic keywords uses, client meeting with a Russian entrepreneur for his Facebook page who needs cross culture insights. She gained valuable experience in content creation and poster designing using Canva for a specific client. She also learnt how to effectively advertise on Meta platforms like Facebook Fan page by running a successful ad campaign for the agency’s “Go To” initiative. Furthermore, she had the incredible opportunity to engage in a cultural exchange program organized by FPT University, she not only had an enjoyable time but also deepened her understanding of different cultures. She gained hands-on experience in content planning for their Facebook fan page targeting foreigners in Da Nang. They created a content calendar for June and July, ensuring brand consistency and efficient coordination. By carefully considering content direction and design, they engaged their target audience while aligning with the agency’s pillars. This iterative approach emphasized continuous evaluation and improvement, providing practical insights into content planning and marketing strategies. She participated in an exciting brand photoshoot, collaborated with the creative team, and captured high-quality images. She also wrote engaging Facebook posts, designed posters using Canva. She also participated in a team-building trip where she shot a promotional video for a resort. She created a content calendar for a specific client. She successfully designed engaging social media posts and developed compelling content tailored to their target audience. Additionally, she dedicated time to studying and analyzing advertising on Facebook’s new advertising platform, META. This involved understanding the latest features and strategies to maximize our client’s reach and drive effective campaign results. She gained practical knowledge in advertising on Meta platforms like Facebook Fanpage and ran a successful ad campaign for the agency’s “Go To” initiative. Additionally, she participated in a cultural exchange program organized by FPT University, connecting with students from diverse countries like Singapore, China, Indonesia, and Australia through fun activities and performances.
Ms. Priya P. Nair got the opportunity to do her internship with Do Agency, Vietnam, through FPT University, with the profile of Canva Basics Learning, Fb Fan Page Creation, Post Making, Content Writing for Facebook post, Tvc Shooting, Cafe promotion Shoot, photoshop, Research about the competitors, Contribute to the company”s SEO efforts by filling the details about the company in the fan page. Attended a session on how to create effective marketing plans and content plans for a Facebook page based on services of the company. Learned about creating a master timeline and content calendar as it is an essential part of digital marketing planning. It helps to stay organized, track progress and ensure consistent content creation and distribution. Involved in various activities, including brand photoshoots, content creation, and social media marketing. Designed Facebook posts using Canvas. Created aesthetically attractive designs using Canva for the Facebook fan page. I participated in a team building trip where I learned about how to bond, Improve communication, Build trust, Understand diversity, Motivation, and morale boost. I also participated in the promotion of a Resort. One of the main tasks assigned to me was creating a content calendar for a specific client. Designed Social media posts and intriguing content for their target audience. I conducted thorough research on the client’s industry, target market, and competitors. Furthermore, I learned about advertising on Facebook’s new advertising platform META.
The seventh week of my internship has been truly enriching and rewarding. During this week, my primary task was creating content and designing posters for a specific client using Canva. I collaborated with the creative team to understand the client’s requirements and brand guidelines. Gained knowledge about advertising on Facebook’s meta platform. I learned how to navigate through the advertising interface, target specific audiences based on demographics and interests, set budgets, and track the performance of the ads. Additionally, I had the opportunity to run an advertising campaign to promote a particular service of the agency. This allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios and understand the intricacies of digital advertising. Apart from work-related activities, this week also included a remarkable cultural exchange program organized by FPT University. Students from diverse countries like Singapore, China, Indonesia, and Australia participated in this enriching experience. The program featured various fun activities, performances, and games that encouraged interaction and fostered friendships among participants from different cultural backgrounds. Along with Ms. Arpita, she brand shot a cosmetic.
Ms. Anjali Kumari got the opportunity to do her internship with DLG Hotel, Vietnam, in the field of Human Resources and got the opportunity to learn about the recruitment procedure which includes updating receipt candidate information on the system. She also learnt about compensation and benefit which is the distribution of salary. Learnt time keeping, monthly update of employees, policy of company. She worked in Smile HR Software which has all the data of the employees, overseen the Interview procedure. Worked with structuring and designing the syllabus and routine for the learning and development program for the employees of DLG Hotel. She collaborated with the HR team and focused on delivering training sessions to enhance employee communication and etiquette skills, with the aim of improving customer service. These training sessions were designed to equip employees with the necessary tools and techniques to effectively engage with guests and provide exceptional experiences. She encountered the challenge of addressing individual learning styles and skill levels among the participants. Participated in Recruitment, time keeping with compensation and benefit team also evaluated payroll according to employees attendance, training and development to employees, monitored the performance analysis of employees also the procedure or way through which employees are awarded and recognized for their work.

The overall experience in Da Nang, Vietnam, has left a lasting impact on me both personally and professionally. It has shaped me into a more adaptable, culturally aware, and open-minded individual. The exposure to a different work culture and the opportunity to work with people from different countries has broadened my perspective and reaffirmed my passion for a global career.
I am immensely grateful to ISBR Business school, FPT University for giving me this opportunity, and for making it happen for real and guiding me through out.
