ISBR discovers the right methods to tackle COVID-19 Disruption

The coronavirus pandemic and the resulting lockdown has had its impact on every aspect of our lives. The pandemic has rattled the global economy by bringing businesses and industries to a grinding halt. It has also caused a lot of disruptions in the normal functioning of the world. This has left businesses with just two choices: adapt to the new norms or perish in the pandemic. Education field is no exception in this battle.

ISBR as an educational institution had to make a choice, whether to wait for everything to settle or find a way out to make things happen. It was inevitable to instil hope in the students and faculty to stretch themselves to meet the odds – this path of course involves dedication, precautions, commitment, learning and being proactive. ISBR took the responsibility to implement things that can shape the future of young minds.

Online Classes

Foreseeing the worsening of the situation, the students and the faculty were empowered to be ready to start online sessions. ZOOM was the first online platform on which we started the online classes. It was just a matter of time that the team started realizing their comfort of using online platforms.

Google Classroom gave them the atmosphere of a traditional classroom and faculty were taken by surprise on the rising attendance to the classes. The class engagement soon shifted from monotonous sessions to a highly interactive class – Online classes have now become new normal classroom!

There was a slight shift in the way things were happening- the shift was from faculty driven classes to student driven programs. A bunch of active students started hosting online club activities and eventually industry interactive sessions. There were online industry tours and virtual interviews for students. A host of Webinars, Chat with CEOS, Guest talks, training sessions and mentoring too now happens online. Mentoring sessions are regularly conducted to ensure both personal and professional wellness of students.

Online education has become now the new normal for ISBR!

Coursera

ISBR later partnered with COURSERA in order to ensure an expanded learning for students. This enabled students to get free access to various multi-discipline courses of reputed global institutions. There were over 1850 enrolments in May from just one batch of 175 ISBR students. We, at ISBR, are delighted that we could successfully fill our students’ lives with knowledge and hope of a better tomorrow rather than anxiety and fear.

Online Placement Drive

We had online placement drive during this pandemic as interviews were held through Skype Calls. The drive was a successful one. A few  students were placed and got their offer letters too.

The COVID-19 lockdown period is witnessing the fury of nature, the economic downfall and many have lost their lives. It has seen the helplessness of the power of human and also the rise of humanity once again. We are striving hard to build citizens for the new tomorrow. Our students are not just academically trained and empowered but are also sensitized social beings who can stay strong through any of the challenges that are posed in this new World!
