ISBR Founder Mr. Manish Kothari Represents India at Education Forum in China

Mr. Manish Kothari, Founder and Managing Director of ISBR Group of Institutions represented India at the Education Forum for Asia Annual Conference – 2018, held in Chengdu, China, between September 20 to 22, 2018.

The conference was a platform for communication and dialogue between governments, businesses and NGOs to explore and provide sound solutions to the forefront issues facing today’s education field.

Mr. Manish Kothari addressed the Conference on ‘University Mission in Community of Shared Future for Mankind’. He traced the global trends and developments in higher education, research and development, and entrepreneurship. He professed that the climate of mutual trust, confidence and respect were essential to realize the enormous potential of partnership among nations and thereby, “we can contribute to peace, stability and prosperity, give new direction, and energy to the global economy”.

The mission of any University was to create knowledge that would transform humankind, enhance the quality of life and create a stable, secure and peaceful future, he advocated.

However, diverse and different the ideologies, tone and tenor of religions were, the philosophy of life was one and the same. Shared future could emerge only through sustainable environment. Mr. Manish Kothari deliberated on the need for achieving integration in global education system and policy environment.

9-Point Agenda Presented to the Global Audience

Pondering over the challenges and solutions, he presented to the global audience a 9-Point Agenda that would bring about the desired change in the Community of Shared Future. Among them were:-

  • ‘Plant seeds in our soil and share the fruits across the Globe – Localize before you Globalize’, ‘Glocalize’.
  • Make “World Humanity” a compulsory subject from KG to PG.
  • Create quality talent pool for worldwide deployment.
  • Intensify Student Exchange Programs.
  • Adopt Universal Qualification and Credit Framework.
  • Promote good nutritional education. Healthy body, sound mind and creative intellect.   
  • Launching a common TV Channel promoted by Universities across the world.
  • Seamless mobility of faculty, research scholars and students.
  • Create a Forum for shared future, on the lines of BRICS Forum of Education, AMDISA-SAARC, etc.

The assembly of educators, scientists and experts of Universities and NGOs responded positively and desired to be part of a concerted move to implement India-China led initiatives towards achieving these goals.
