Harvest festivals are an integral part of India’s cultural legacy and over the
centuries the tradition has evolved in various forms and has assimilated itself into
the local tradition. In different places it is called with different names like Oman,
Pongal, Makara Sankranti, etc. Since we also have a diverse population in IBSR
we decide to address all these festivals and have a single event where every student
can participate and get to know about such festivals.
This event was conducted on Zoom meeting. It was a 4-5 days of event.
The first meeting of the day was held to discuss the event’s ideas and tasks to be completed.
DATE – 10/01/2022 The event’s promotion has begun.
DATE – 11/01/2022 An online meeting was organized to discuss the tasks and assign club members to each assignment, as well as gather the names of the event participants.
DATE – January 13, 2022
On this day, a meeting was held to finish the responsibilities that had been allocated to the various members. Submissions for the Post and Art Competition have begun.
DATE – 14 JANUARY 2022
Preparation of the event flow and a practice run for the ceremony’s Masters.
Submissions for both the Post and the Art Competition are now closed. Video invitation creation and distribution.
DATE – 15 JANUARY 2022 (Time 4:38 pm) The event began with welcomes from the participants.
(At 4:50 p.m.) Pratyusha was recognized as the winner of the art competition, and after the announcement, Pratyusha performed a song.
(At 4:55 p.m.) Disha performed a traditional dance for the audience.
(At 4:59 p.m.) Performance of a song: Nikita performed a song.
(At 5:03 p.m.) Devanshi Patel presented a pre-recorded art video.
(At 5:04 p.m.) Sreesha was declared the winner of the Instagram post competition.
(At 5:07 p.m.) Aman Dwivedi performed two songs, one taped and the other live.
(At 5:13 p.m.) Eakesh sang a live performance song.
(At 5:17 p.m.) A live performance of the Lohri song and dance was performed (Time 05:20 pm to 05:25 pm) Prof. Guru, Prof. Usha, Prof. Sheetal, and Prof. Lakshmi were addressed. (At 5:27 p.m.) Interacted with the audience to learn about their Harvest Festival celebrations (Time 05:29 pm) Host and Prof. Usha presented the vote of thanks (Time 05:40 pm) The event is now over.
