The Sports club SPORTIFY of ISBR BUSINESS SCHOOL has organized the annual sports day “LEAGUE OF LEGENDS” for the PGDM & MBA students of ISBR. The sports day was coordinated by Mr. Visweswara Vempali Rao, Assistant Professor/Statistics. The much-awaited annual sports day was held for two days on 21/04/2022 and 22/04/2022 with great zeal and excitement. There were about 5 events which includes Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Throw ball, and table tennis. Participants from various specializations were present for the session and are allowed to participate in more than one event. There was a total of 24 sports club members among which 12 volunteers organized the event along with the president and vice president of the sports club Mr. Venkat Naryanan from PGDM and Ms. Sreesha from MBA. Before the commencement of the sports day, every class has been segregated into separate houses and given the rules and regulations including the dress code and color. Based on the registrations, fixtures were prepared for all the sports.
The main objective of this event was to improve physical ability and skills while providing enjoyment to participants and entertainment to spectators as well. The event started with the enthusiasm of participants and continued with the encouragement of the club members.
DAY 1
First day started with prayer and welcome speech for the chief guest along with the lightning the lamp. The Instructions for all the events were given to the students by volunteers. Cricket was the first event and alternatively table tennis was conducted in the morning session. Totally 10 teams participated in cricket while 6 teams in table tennis. The game was well coordinated based on the fixtures. After the lunch break football was conducted in league. The winners of each game was sent to semi-finals which is to be conducted on the very next day.
DAY 2
Second day started with volley ball event were 6 teams participated and 4 teams were sent to semi-finals. It is followed by throw ball event and semi-finals. Before lunch the finale of both throw ball and volley ball was conducted and winners and runners were announced simultaneously Grand finale of Table tennis was conducted. After lunch semi finals and grand-Finale of cricket was conducted and followed by Grand-Finale of foot-ball. Finally one surprise friendly cricket match between MBA and PGDM announcing best of PGDM and MBA was conducted to induce excitement and frolicsome environment.
