The program started with an invocation song by the legendry singer Usha Uthup followed by few famous and very mesmerizing songs by her..

India’s rivers are experiencing a drastic change. Due to the increased pressure of population and development, our perennial rivers are rapidly becoming seasonal. Many of the smaller rivers have already disappeared. Flood as well as drought have become increasingly frequent as rivers turn disorderly during the monsoon, and vanish as soon as the rainy season is over. To cope with this devastating situation and spread awareness about this grave problem. Spritual leader-Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev conceived the idea of Rally for Rivers which is a nationwide awareness campaign to revive our rivers. The campaign proposes ideas to replenish rivers which is to create a kilometre-wide tree cover on riversides and half a kilometre for tributaries. If we do not act now to reverse the serious decline of these lifelines, the next generation will pay a very heavy price.
The rally is supposed to be organised by road and will cover 16 states and in every state, the chief ministers have agreed to support their cause and take part in the event. A huge number of students along with ISBR students have come to attend the rally. The dignitaries addressed the students and asked them to pledge and join hands for this noble cause and protect our most crucial natural resource i.e. water. The receding water level of the river has become a matter of great concern and if we do not take some serious step write now, our future generation is going to pay heavy prices for our mistakes.
