The ISBR Alumni community is a pillar of strength and support for us. They carry the wisdom of the campus and the intelligence of academia. What did they learn? How did their life at ISBR prepare them for the world outside? And what do they have to tell you that will help you not just in your life on campus but beyond it as well? The series ‘Campus to Corporate’ will bring you insights from our alumni on the less-noticed aspects of campus life.
Like many other MBA aspirants, Tejasri Pingali Reddy joined ISBR, Bengaluru, with stars in her eyes. The daughter of an agriculturist and a homemaker, she hails from the small town of Kodad in the state of Telangana. Even as a young girl, Tejasri always exhibited a quiet determination to succeed in life. Her smart attitude combined with an innate ability to connect with people has always worked in her favor.
ISBR provided the perfect launchpad for Tejasri to realize her aspirations to be a successful businesswoman and an entrepreneur. After graduation, she co-founded BlueInd Consulting Services, a management consulting startup in Bengaluru, and also serves as its HR partner. Tejasri says proudly, “I have a dual role in my current company – one that of starting my own venture and the other being that of an HR business partner for four business verticals.”
A School of Thought
Tejasri credits ISBR for her successes. She says candidly, “ISBR allowed me to have hands-on learning with several tasks that required me to step up in terms of exposure, professionalism, and skill sets which gave me a head start in my career.” She acknowledges that organizing events at ISBR has helped her immensely. “I helped organize ‘Abhinandana’ under the leadership of Dr. Manohar and was a part of the organizing team for convocation for the batch 2015-16 as well as other events organized at ISBR,” she adds. Tejasri speaks appreciatively of the opportunities ISBR gave her to prepare for a successful career. She says, “I represented ISBR as a core team member at NHRD Bangalore Chapter and collaborated with several industry leaders and entrepreneurs. I was also one of the coordinators for the internship drives on ISBR campus and managed interfaces with over 10 organizations, a role I took up again the next year.”
Tejasri encourages students to make the most of their time at ISBR. She says frankly, “ISBR provides a lot of opportunities available during our education that we need to tap into. These are important experiences come in handy while taking up a job.” Before signing off, she thanks the faculty and management of ISBR and says, “I not only got placed with the highest package but also got a foothold to start my own venture. ISBR, the faculty, and the management, helped me to unveil my own potential and stage myself for hopefully a great career ahead.”
