Brief Profile of Speaker:

Mr. Jaishankar Vedam started his career as a Campus Editor/ Sports Sub-editor/ Reporter in Deccan Herald Media Company in the year 1982. He Got promoted to the role of an Associate News Editor and joined The New Indian Express in 1984 and got promoted to management role as a managing editor. He has also worked with Bangalore Bias and Bennett Coleman and Co.Ltd.(Times Group ) as an Assistant Editor.

In addition to his more than 34 years of experience as an editor , he is also a Senior Journalist and has written several books like “ Courage, Conviction, Controversy and Cricket” , “A biography of Rahul Dravid ” and “Casting A Spell – The story of Karnataka Cricket”.

Abstract
