IIC INNOVENTURE Club: MSME Cluster Visit to ELCIA

OBJECTIVES OF THE VISIT –

● To know the business model and working of the MSME sector

ABOUT THE VISIT –
A group of 5 students of IIC Innoventure, ISBR Business School along with Dr. Sheetal Mahendher, Research chair, went to ELCIA Cluster for understanding its business model. Students were taken inside ELCIA’s mechanical department where there were various machines which are used by them to prepare raw materials for industrial use. Some of the names of the machines are Milling Machine (Vertical Drilling), wire EDM, which is known for precision cutting, 3D printers, in which machine makes the parts, height gauge, which measures various dimensions to its highest position, the digital control unit, which is used for endurance testing, etc. After that, the students were taken to the ELCIA’s electronic division, where, environmental testing labs were there to check the temperature of the machines. These machines are also used in aerospace and defense operations. Apart from these, there was an X-Ray inspection machine, PCB fabrication division, etc. This is an independent organization managed by the committee of & industrialists. These committee members are elected through elections held by them. The manager of the ELCIA cluster has cleared all the doubts that students raised while interacting with him.

CONCLUSION – Students were able to learn what are the steps and plan of action an industry follows to exist in the environment. The students also learned about the business model that institutions, like ELCIA Cluster, uses for their operation in order to achieve their organizational objectives.
