The increased acceptance of IT is demonstrated with the extent of utilisation of telemedicine.
The IT initiatives adopted by healthcare organisations are expected to have three dimensional impact. These initiatives are anticipated to improve the care delivery, thereby enhancing the customer experience. With the projection of digital healthcare market expansion in India to the size of INR 485.43 Bn by 2024 from the value of INR 116.61 Bn in 2018 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 27.41%, opportunities to improve patient safety, openness of the hospitals to accept and adopt IT solutions, one can foresee the emergence of new prospects in Health IT Management.
