Ms. Vinda M. is now based in Bangalore. she was born and brought up in Mysore & moved to Bangalore after completing my PUC. She had finished my Bachelor’s in Commerce from the Christ University, Bangalore. She holds a Master degree in Business Law from the National Law College Bangalore. She is a Qualified Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. During her tenure of experience as a Company Secretary, she has been associated with Guru & Jana a Chartered Accountant firm for 2 years. Further she moved to Source Naturals
Herbal Supplements limited, a Company floated by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar guruji from the Art of Living. She had an experience serving as a Company Secretary for 3 years in Arvind Fashions Limited, a leading organization from the textile industry.

Abstract/Snapshot
In this talk Ms. Vinda talk about the role of Information Technology Act 2000 in Business Environment. New Communication systems and Digital Technology have made dramatic changes in the way we live. A revolution is occurring in the way people transact business. Business and consumers are increasingly using computers to create, transact and store information in the electronic form instead of traditional paper documents. With the advancement in technology and its uses in the business world, there arises a need to regulate and protect the interest of stakeholders. Hence, Information Technology Act 2000 came into force with effect from October 17, 2000 which is the first Cyber Law in India.

The flow of talk is as follows initially Ms. Vinda had introduced the concept of what is information technology, how it is affected in day-to-day life and its impacts in the business world. Initially the speaker has introduced the importance of information technology in the business environment later she discussed about what exactly cyber-crime is what are the cyber-crimes and what are the categories of Cyber crimes. Then we talk about the digital signature and the electronic signature and later we discuss about the uses of digital signature then the next important part we discuss about the electronic governance, The smart model, this smart moral
contains Simple, Moral, accountable responsive and transparent this is the electronic government then we discuss about the Ministry of Corporate Affairs website mca.gov.in We have understood the various important things on Ministry of Corporate Affairs then we discussed about the various regulations of certified authorities and how exactly the process happened etc.
