Success Mantra of the Corporate Strategy

Mr. Sai Gururaja Shetty is into finance and accounts by profession. He has done his bachelor’s in commerce from Mangalore University and completed his Master’s in Business Administration at RNSIT Bengaluru under VTU. He
pursued his MBA in the finance stream and successfully completed his internship with Biocon Ltd at its headquarters which is located in Bengaluru. He started his career with Ernst & Young (EY) in 2013 where he was worked for the assurance department.

The flow of the event: The event started at 11:20 AM in the morning. Amisha Sinha, a PGDM student was the anchor for the event. She introduced the guest, Mr. Sai Gururaja Shetty to the students of ISBR. A bouquet has been presented to the guest by Akeel Ahmad. After that, the session has been handed over to the guest.

    He shared the definition of success. Success may be defined as achieving your own goals. He said the goal is one of the key factors for success. He said that success is something that we are able to achieve our goals with the fullest satisfaction which ultimately gives the outcome that we have expected initially. Sir also shared that it is very important to set our goals because it will drive us towards our passion. Sir asked a question to all the students as how many of them have set their goals. If the students have not set their goals yet, then they should set the goals today itself. He then shared the definition of MANTRA. He said that success is the GOD and to reach the lord, we need MANTRA. Strategy is the manta. Strategies may be defined as the actions that we take to achieve the goals. He also said that we can form strategies by brainstorming. He communicated the importance of strategy. Strategy is required to build competitiveness, to safeguard, to overcome weakness and to build strength, and to achieve the goal or to win. He said that different types of work require different strategies. Some of the important segments where strategy is being used are –

  • Government Policies
  • Various types of institutions
  • Individual lifestyles
    He also shared about the various levels of strategies that are being taken by various levels
    of management in an organization. With the help of six students from the audience, he
    practically showed how the business finance department will take strategic decisions. He
    assigned each student different departments like HR, sales, marketing, finance,
    operations. He elaborated the whole process of how business finance departments take
    strategic decisions in their day-to-day operations.
