About the session: Mr. Ankoor Dasguupta, ARM Worldwide, Vice President – Content, Social and Creative, Delhi, will present an online training session on trends in digital and social media marketing strategies. The session will cover how these topics have changed over time, what lens to use when, some of the practical challenges of corporate life in this area, the gaps, media buying models, and connecting the dots in these areas. The Marketing Department, ISBR Business School, Bangalore hosted a session on Trends in Digital and social Media Marketing strategies on the Zoom platform. The guest speaker for the day was Mr. Ankoor Dasguupta, the Vice President – Content, Social and Creative of ARM Worldwide. Mr. Ankoor has completed his BA in Political Science from Delhi University post which he did his Diploma of Education, Advertising and Marketing from Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan. He has also obtained his certifications in Digital Marketing from MSME Technology Centre and ISB. He has worked with various companies like Genpact, Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd. (Times Group), India Today and Yahoo in his preliminary years. In total he has served in 7 other companies as mid and senior level manager and is currently the Vice President – Content | Social | Creative at ARM Worldwide where his key responsibilities He is heading the Content portfolio and constructively challenging the status-quo, with a wonderful team of 65 people while making at attempt together as a team to bring a differentiated value for their existing and potential clients.Already enabled 16 industry awards for various campaigns across BFSI, FMCG, Entertainment within one year of joining the organisation, Mr. Dasguupta is representing ARM as a speaker at digital forums and B-
Schools. He spoke about the various digital marketing trends.
The session was attended by all the 5 sections of PGDM 2022-2024. The proficient speaker spoke about his experience in the corporate industry as a fresher and how he moved up the corporate ladder. The next topic of learning was data and its massive usage. He also spoke about various topics on Digital Marketing like paid advertisements, Top of the Funnel, Bottom of the Funnel and the marketing tactic to be employed at each stage and the jargons that are widely used in Digital Marketing. He also gave the statistics of employment of digital Marketing in the modern age. The aim of the session was to create brand awareness and recognition digitally.
The later stage of the session was an interactive session with the speaker. Saumyadeep Ghosh had been interacting with Mr. Dasgupta regarding various advertisement tactics. The session was arranged and coordinated by Dr. supriya Lamba Sahdev, HOD Marketing and Associate Professor of ISBR Business School and hosted by Ms. Sreyoshi Banerjee. It was an interesting, interactive and engaging session throwing light on one of the most disruptive ways of traditional marketing.
