Visit of Mr. Arun Thekkedath and Mr. Rik Kriz

The International office, ISBR organised lunch Meeting between Mr. Arun Thekkedath, Chief Representative Officer – Netherlands Education Support Office – India, and Mr. Rik Kriz, Policy Advisor – Netherlands Ministry of Education, Science, and Culture and Dr. Supriya Lamba Sahdev, Manager International Programs at The Oterra Hotel, Electroninc city Phase 1, Bengaluru on 30th May, 2023. The purpose of this meeting was to bring Mr. Arun on advisory board of ISBR International Programs and Collaboration with Netherland government with respect to education. Delighted to have Mr. Arun Thekkedath as the advisory board member of ISBR International Programs. There was a wonderfully insightful discussion on the following pointers:

  • Higher education in India: We are interested in gaining insights into the current landscape of higher education in India, including emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Internationalization: We would like to discuss strategies for promoting internationalization within educational institutions and the benefits it brings to students and faculty members.
  • Capacity building: Exploring ways to enhance the capacity of educational institutions through training programs, faculty exchanges, and knowledge sharing.
  • Institutional cooperation: Identifying potential areas of collaboration between educational institutions in India and the Netherlands, such as joint research projects, student exchanges, and faculty development programs.
  • Management education: Sharing best practices in management education and discussing innovative approaches to curriculum development and industry-academia partnerships.
  • Exchange possibilities: Exploring opportunities for student and faculty exchanges between institutions in both countries, with a focus on promoting cultural understanding and academic enrichment.


Mr. Arun Thekkedath and Mr. Rik Kriz shared their wide knowledge of the Indian and Dutch educational systems along with their expertise in the field of education. They provided a wealth of experience and knowledge to the discussion. Their advice was priceless as we examined prospective partnerships and chances to deepen our relations with the Netherlands. Mr. Rik Kriz, who serves as a policy advisor for the Netherlands Ministry of Education, Science, and Culture, was equally amazing. He provided advice on how
innovation and research are crucial for fostering educational excellence was illuminating and will surely direct ISBR future efforts. The gathering served as a reminder of the significance of varied ideas and the strength of collaboration. With Mr. Arun Thekkedath joining advisory board of ISBR International Programs, ISBR is well-positioned to further ISBR International Office objective to deliver high-quality education and develop world leaders.
