Vydehi Hospital in Bangalore is one of India’s largest super speciality hospitals with a capacity of 1600 beds, with advanced HI-TECH equipment and facilities like MRI, CT scan, cardiac echo machine, ultrasound equipment, X-ray, mammography and digital mammography. All diagnostic facilities are available through the central diagnostic lab and radiology departments.
The hospital houses 13 medical department, 15 super speciality, 9 support departments and
Ayurveda, rehabilitation, and a special education school are all available. The mission of the hospital is “to bring healthcare of International standards within the reach of every individual. “We are committed to the achievement and maintenance of excellence in education, research, and healthcare for the benefit of humanity”.
The students were encouraged on scope of the profession during their interaction with Dr. Ravi Babu, Chief Administrative Officer, Professor, and Head, Department of Hospital Administration. Dr. Gnanasekar and Dr. Sherry Mathew, the faculty, provided an orientation to the hospital services and NABH accreditation, as well as education on the issues and challenges of hospital administration. Dr. Manasa, Dr. Dedeepya, and Dr. Madhuri guided us all along with the flow of the hospital and got into the details of the functioning of each department.
