Workshop on Funnel management- Prospecting to Closing Deals by Mr. Ramani Venkat-11th- 14th December 2020

The sales funnel also known as a revenue funnel or sales process refers to the buying process that companies lead customers through when purchasing products. This three-day workshop by Mr. Ramani Venkat, NLP trainer, sales and strategic consultant, was conducted for the students of PGDM and MBA in understanding the sales funnel and various techniques and ideas were provided to the students which they could imply in their current internships, personal interviews and actual work environments.

The first day of the workshop was about understanding the customers. Hence it becomes completely necessary for the sales people to learn about their products and services, the benefits it could provide to their clients and customers. Sales people must have belief on the products and services for them to pursue the customers. It was clearly explained as to why sales people must try to induce the purchase rather than try to sell what they have.

The second day of the workshop was about effective communication that was required for the sales people to create good relation with the customers. It was clearly explained how we must try to connect with the customer pain points both emotionally and logically for triggering a reason of purchase. Techniques to counter competition-based questions and customer queries were of excellent tips.

The third day of the workshop was about maintaining a good sales funnel. In this session, the trainer demonstrated his sales funnel and how the sales people must work during each and every phase of the funnel. It was clearly explained how every phase carries its own weightage and the measures to be taken across every phase to reach the 100 percent. In general, the workshop was quite insightful for students.
