Lakshmi served as the speaker of honour for a student conference for the department of commerce students at St. Claret College in Bangalore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"7410\" src=\"https:\/\/isbr.in\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Screenshot-2023-05-16-3.44.08-PM.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7410\" width=\"599\" height=\"332\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"7411\" src=\"https:\/\/isbr.in\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Screenshot-2023-05-16-3.43.53-PM-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7411\" width=\"599\" height=\"332\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The conference, SPARK, will feature discussions on the subject of innovations and sustainability in business and commerce. This was organized as a part of Institution Innovation Council (IIC) activity. She gave a few examples of creative approaches and referenced one from a TED talk in which the speaker described how Bhutan achieved sustainability by being a carbon-negative nation as well as a carbon-neutral one.
