Arundathi Rao has a bachelors’ degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore and a Masters’ degree in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. She is also a certified coach.
Arundathi has over 34 years of industry experience. She started her career with a short stint as a lecturer in Coimbatore Institute of Technology, before joining Defence R&D Organization (DRDO) as a Scientist in 1987. In DRDO, she was part of the program which was instrumental in the development of an indigenous Airborne Early Warning Radar. In 1996, she joined Hewlett Packard as a Software Analyst in the Systems Technology and Solutions Division, delivering network services related products on HP-UX. Under her leadership,industry leading products such as DHCPv6, SLP and MSP etc., were implemented on HP-UX. In 2003 Arundathi went to US for close to 2 years, to be part of the IT teams to transition and setup offshore delivery teams in India. She has worked across different IT groups in HP/HPE in building and strengthening their offshore delivery. At the time of leaving DXC in Oct’19, she was responsible for managing applications delivery for major technology clients with a revenue of $750M+, with 3000+ people global team.Currently she is a Director at EY and Technology Leader for GDS.
